A training reward and a proper chew do two very different jobs—and we like having both ready for Harley. Our monthly Pure order includes a medium all-natural milk chew and a two-item training-treat bundle alongside his food.
With an energetic Cockapoo, the useful extras are the ones that fit your day: rewards for practising good habits and a suitable chew for supervised downtime. Adding them to the food box is a practical way to keep the things you reach for together.
You do not have to order the whole treats aisle. Below is our actual monthly choice, the wider range and how to choose a box your dog will enjoy without buying bags you never finish.
Our quick answer
Our regular add-ons are a medium milk chew and a two-item training-treat bundle. They serve different jobs: supervised chewing and small rewards for everyday training.
Explore Pure food and treats| Option | Why consider it? | The practical check |
|---|---|---|
| Milk chew | Supervised chewing | Age, weight, teeth and chewing style |
| Training bundle | Rewarding good choices | Treat size, ingredients and daily intake |
| Dental sticks | An optional dental-care extra | Pack age/size guide; brushing still matters |
| Variety bundle | Trying different treat formats | Buy only if you will use its contents |

Why this is our monthly combination
A bag of training rewards and a milk chew give us two distinct options. Rewards fit into those everyday moments when you want to reinforce a good choice; a chew gives a dog an opportunity to enjoy chewing while you supervise. They are additions with a purpose, rather than just more snacks.
Why might your dog enjoy it? Some dogs love working for small tasty rewards; others particularly enjoy a chewing activity. Match the option to the dog in front of you, and start small if the product is new to them.
Why buy them with the food? If these are things you already use, ordering them together can make restocking simpler. Our screenshot shows exactly what we add, so you have a concrete starting point instead of an overwhelming wish list.

Which Pure treats do we actually buy?
The screenshot above is our own order, rather than a list of everything we have tested. We add one medium milk chew and one training-treat bundle. That is a straightforward starting point if you want a subscription that can cover meals and a few useful extras.
Our approach is to choose by purpose. We want training rewards for walks and everyday practice, plus a separate chew. We do not need a large assortment every month just to keep the box varied.
Is Pure’s milk chew a long-lasting dog chew?
Pure markets its all-natural milk chew as long lasting and lists Himalayan cow’s milk as the main ingredient. Its product guide specifies suitability from six months and gives size bands: small for 5–10kg dogs, medium for 10–20kg, and large for 20kg-plus dogs.
Those bands are a starting point, not a guarantee that a chew is right for a particular dog. Think about chewing style and dental health too. We have not timed Harley’s Pure milk chew, so we cannot honestly promise a specific number of minutes or days.
Supervise chewing, provide water and remove pieces that become small enough to swallow. If your dog tries to gulp chews or has dental problems, ask your vet about a suitable alternative. For a wider comparison, read our guide to long-lasting dog chews.
What other treats are shown in Pure’s range?

The selection includes chicken and beef training treats, fish pieces, beef bites, duck and venison treats, strawberry hearts and several dental-stick flavours. The useful question is which type fits your dog’s day.
- Training rewards: choose a size and texture you can deliver quickly during practice.
- Chews: choose for supervised chewing rather than as a substitute for exercise or training.
- Dental sticks: check the individual product’s age and feeding guidance. A chew does not replace brushing.
- Occasional treats: make room for them within the feeding routine rather than continually adding more food.
Are the Pure treat bundles worth choosing?

A bundle can be convenient when you will use its contents, but a bigger selection is not automatically better value. Compare the items, sizes and current bundle price with buying only what you need. Check ingredients across the whole bundle if your dog avoids a particular protein.
We would start with a smaller order when trying an unfamiliar treat. It gives you a chance to see whether your dog likes it and whether the format works for your routine before committing to several bags.
Keep the jobs separate: small rewards for practice and a suitable chew for supervised downtime. The milk chew and training bundle are our monthly choices, not a universal shopping list.
Can treats replace part of the main meal?
Treats and chews are extras, not complete meals. Account for them within the overall daily intake and ask Pure how to adjust your dog’s food when necessary. Avoid making a large, uncalculated reduction to the complete diet just to accommodate more treats.
